The Douglas County Historical Society’s “Taste of the Towns” is coming to Gardnerville, August 7, 2010. There will be five restaurants and three businesses for you to taste and browse on the walk from Mill Street to Douglas Avenue. Mike Maloney will be playing for you at J.T.’s.

In the parking lot at the Carson Valley Museum and Cultural Center, seven more restaurants and two businesses will be set up, offering tastes and samples. You will taste Italian, American and Basque food, pizza and desserts. Ben Crocker will be entertaining you once again.

This is one of the Society’s big fundraisers and we hope you will mark this on your calendar. Parking is available at the Carson Valley Middle School. The event starts at 5 PM and goes until 9 PM.

Tickets are limited, so get them early. Members of the Society and Thrivent members pay $20.00/ nonmembers, $25.00.
