Juaristi which contains a personal story pertaining to the rich Basque history in this area, Grandfather's Wisdom by Barry Robb offering sage, well-tested advice, Railway & Lumber Company Railroad in the Sky 1881-1971 compiled and edited by Wanda & Richard Canton about the little known Bodie & Benton Railroad; or check out our shelves filled with other informative, historical and fun stories.

Also in the Bookstore you will find our 2012 Calendar featuring exhibits in both museums, the very popular hand-carved wildlife pens, and new to the Bookstore is a Lanyard with a 150th year medallion souvenir and collector pins highlighting attractions and events in Douglas County in celebration last year of the 150th year of Douglas County. The children's section is filled with books of stories, activities, paper dolls along with unique animal finger puppets and many other fascinating items.

No admission fee is required to shop at the Bookstore and members of the Douglas County Historical Society receive a 10% discount on their purchases.
